Local conditions
The Springwood - Faulconbridge area is situated 33.5 degrees south of the equator at an elevation of between 370m and 446m above sea level. The area enjoys a Mediterranean style climate, with warm summers and short mild winters. There is a distinct variation in the seasons and temperature vary between a maximum of up to 43 degrees in summer to a minimum as low as 2 degrees in winter. Average annual rainfall is 1220mm, with summer and early autumn being the wettest months.
